Quick answers to your most common questions.

When is move-in?

Move-in is scheduled for Thursday, August 14 and Friday, August 15. You’ll be assigned a specific time once you complete your move-in checklist.

Can I choose my move-in time?

No, move-in times are assigned based on scheduling and availability. You’ll be notified through your resident portal.

What happens if I arrive early or late?

We ask that all residents arrive only during their assigned window. Early or late arrivals may not be accommodated due to staffing and traffic flow.

Where do I check in?

At the Check-In Tent located at the entrance of the property (12727 East Colonial Drive). Do not go to the leasing office.

Can my family/friends help me move in?

Yes, but please limit it to 1–2 guests per resident. After your car is unloaded, they can join you in your unit.

Is there a loading dock or elevator?

Movers will handle all unloading. You’ll meet them at your apartment after parking. Stairs will be used for quick access.

What if I'm arriving from out of state or flying in?

The closest airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO). Let our team know if you need help coordinating arrival timing or check-in.

Move-In Logistics

What furniture is included?

Each bedroom includes a Full XL bed and mattress, desk, desk chair, and dresser. Common areas are fully furnished with a couch, coffee table, and dining setup.

Are there assigned bedspaces?

Yes, you will be assigned a specific bedspace (A, B, C, or D). This is listed in your resident portal.

Can I hang things on the wall?

Yes, but we recommend using Command strips or removable hooks. Any wall damage will be billed at move-out.

Is renter's insurance required?

Yes. You must provide proof of renter’s insurance as part of your move-in checklist, through Foxen. If you do not provide your own, you'll be opted into our liability insurance.

Can I bring a pet?

Only if you’ve completed the PetScreening process and received approval. Unauthorized pets may result in fines.

Life at Aperture

Do I need a physical key?

No. All access is through the Brivo mobile app. Make sure to download and activate it before move-in.

How do I get into the building, unit and my room?

All are accessed using your Brivo digital key.

How do I get my packages?

Packages are delivered to secure Luxer One lockers. Download the Luxer One app to receive notifications and access your deliveries.

When can I start receiving packages?

We will begin accepting packages after August 18. Anything delivered before this date may be returned.

Technology & Access

Is the pool open during move-in weekend?

Yes! Join us for the Pool Party on Saturday, August 16 from 1 PM to 4 PM.

Is there a gym on-site?

Yes, our fitness center is open 24/7 and accessible via the Brivo app.

Do you offer study lounges or workspaces?

Yes, we offer multiple study rooms, lounges, and a resident coffee bar.

Is the coffee bar free?

Absolutely. Stop by during open hours to grab a cup and hang out.

Amenities

How do I pay rent?

Through your Resident Portal app. You can set up recurring payments or make one-time payments.

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Late fees may apply after the 3rd.

Can my guarantor help with payments?

Yes. They can have their own resident portal and can make payments directly.

What if I have a maintenance issue?

Submit a request through the Resident Portal or call the office for urgent issues.

Is Aperture a controlled-access building?

Yes. All exterior doors, amenities, and units are access-controlled via Brivo.

Are there security cameras?

Yes. Cameras are located throughout the community, including entry points, elevators, garages, and amenity areas.

What do I do in an emergency?

Call 911 first. Then notify the leasing office or after-hours support line for help.

Who do I contact after hours?

Call the main office number and follow prompts for after-hours maintenance or support.

What safety tips should I follow?

Always lock your unit door, bedroom door, windows, and patio door when not in use. Never allow unknown individuals into the building or your unit.
