Move-in day is almost here! To make your arrival as smooth as possible, please review our move-in guide. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know before picking up your keys and settling into your new home at Aperture.

PARKING AND UNLOADING

We’ve mapped it all out — here’s how parking and unloading will work on move-in day.

Parking Permits

  • If you registered your vehicle in advance, your parking permit will be installed on your windshield at the check-in tent

  • If you did not register a vehicle, you’ll receive a temporary daily permit for move-in day

  • All vehicles must display a permit to access the garage

Unloading Zones

  • After check-in, you’ll be directed to your designated unloading zone inside the parking garage

  • Unloading zones are color-coded by building:

    • Building 1 Residents will unload on [designated floor/zone]

    • Building 2 Residents will unload on [designated floor/zone]

  • You’ll stay inside your car while our professional movers unload your items directly from your vehicle

After Unloading

  • Once your car is fully unloaded, you’ll be directed to drive up one level and park

  • After parking, take the nearest stairwell down one flight to meet the movers at your apartment

  • Use your Brivo mobile app to unlock your front door and bedroom

  • Movers will place your items inside your bedroom — and that’s it!

Parking Guidelines to Guests and Family

  • Please limit guests to 1–2 per resident

  • Vehicles without a parking pass will not be permitted in the garage

  • Overflow or temporary parking may be directed to a designated area if garage capacity is limited

No Overnight Guest Parking on Move-In Days

  • Daily permits are valid only for the day of move-in.

  • If your family or guests are staying overnight, we recommend coordinating with your hotel or using rideshare services when returning to the property.

We’ve taken the stress out of move-in with a fully drive-up, fully assisted experience — so you can focus on getting settled and soaking it all in.

Professional Movers Included

Every resident receives complimentary moving assistance on move-in day.

Here's how it works:

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in time

  • Pull into your designated unloading zone — color-coded by building

  • Stay in your car — our professional movers will unload your belongings directly from your vehicle

  • Once unloaded, you’ll drive up one level to park

  • Walk down one flight to your apartment, unlock your doors, and the movers will place everything directly into your bedroom

  • No tipping required — it’s part of the Aperture experience

How to Pack Your Vehicle Like a Pro

A few simple packing strategies go a long way to make unloading fast and organized:

  • Pack the heaviest items last

    • Place large or heavy items (storage bins, mini fridge, furniture) near the rear/trunk so movers can access them first — that’s what comes out first!

  • Group similar items

    • Keep kitchen items together

      • Bundle soft goods (bedding, towels, clothes) in one area

        • Label boxes by room (e.g., “Bathroom – Jane, 1502B”) and mark your name + bedspace on each item

  • Use suitcases, storage totes, or sturdy bins

    • They’re easier to carry, stack, and protect better during transit than grocery bags or loose items

  • Pack a Day-One Essentials Bag

    • Keep a backpack or tote in the front seat with everything you’ll want immediate access to:

      • Phone charger, toiletries, clean clothes, snacks, water bottle

        • Important docs (license, student ID, Brivo app access)

  • Leave fragile or personal valuables with you

    • While our movers handle items with care, we recommend you carry any electronics, jewelry, or personal documents yourself

Quick Reminders Before You Arrive

  • Label everything with your full name and bedspace (e.g., 1502B – Sarah Jones)

  • Don’t overpack random bags — tight, stackable containers = smoother unloading

  • If you’re bringing a cart, dolly, or wagon, have it ready at check-in

  • Be sure the Brivo app is downloaded before you arrive — it’s your key
